DATES FOR YOUR DIARY in the Parish Hall

Gt. Mongeham Horticultural Society Wednesday, 7th June at 7.30 pm—Members only Barbecue and Weighing of Potatoes.

Friends of St. Martin’s are holding a Cheese and Wine evening in St. Martin’s Church at 7.30 pm on Thursday, 8th June.  Please come along and support the friends.  Enquiries 375420.

St. Martin’s W.I.  Thursday, 8th June at 7.30 pm— a talk about Wigs, especially for those who need them for health reasons.  Visitors welcome.

Gt. Mongeham Society Thursday, 15th June will see the Society visiting Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory.  Sunday, 23rd July a visit to the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury to hear an evening of George Gershwin.  Please make contact if you wish to be included in either of these events.                                                                               PSB

Bingo Thursday, 22n June at 7.15 pm in aid of St. Martin’s Church.



Barn DanceSaturday, 1st July at 7.30 pm—11.30 pm in Solley’s Grain Store.

The Village Fun Day will take place on  Saturday, 8th July from 2.00—5.00 pm on the Village Green and in the Parish Hall. The events planned, will consist of  a Flower Show and Art Show in the Parish Hall and Afternoon Teas in the Marquee.  There will also be a Beer Tent for those who prefer something a little stronger!

The side shows will include a Tombola, Coconut Shy, BBQ, Penalty Shoot-Out, Children’s Races, Tug-o-War, Hobbyhorse Racing, Golf Game, Fresh Fruit Stall and we are hoping  there will also be a Model Railway on which you will be able to have a ride for a small fee.

The afternoon is sponsored by our Parish Council and the Parish Hall.
